Okura has released 2 new models of robot palletizers, the A1800 & A400. The addition of these 2 models address the changing demand for a wide range of robot palletizing applications. Coupled with our capabilities & experience for in-house built end effectors, we ensure that the distinct requirements of each & every customer are catered to.

The core strengths of the Okura robot palletizer range were enhanced to strengthen our position as one of the global market leaders for robot palletizers.

A1800 - Exceptional Speed

The A1800 is capable of exceptional palletizing speeds of up to 1,800 cycles per hour, the fastest in Okura's line of robot palletizers. The weight of the robot arm was reduced & the rigidity improved thru utilization of the latest technological developments.

Improvements in the design & manufacturing of the A1800 enabled it to attain higher speed & power, while maintaining the same level of energy consumption. The self-developed servo amplifier for the control panel also assists in the reduction of energy consumption, a major cost for all businesses.

Its safety aspects are also enhanced through the implementation of a new feature, "Collision Detection". Sensors on the robot arm detect minor impacts on the end effector & stops the system immediately. This greatly reduces impact on any collisions that may occur, adding on to the vast range of safety features already in place for Okura robot palletizers.

A400 - Optimal ROI

The A400 is a low cost & high performance model designed for maximum ROI. The low cost was achieved via the reduction in the number of parts, and therefore material, for the A400.

The controller, designed especially for the A400, provides simple functionality & utilizes even less space than the normal version.

Okura Flexible Automation Systems Pte Ltd & the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 12 June 2009 at ITE College Central to develop real-work expertise & the next generation of skilled personnel in Robot Palletizing Systems. Under this MOU, the ITE-Okura Centre of Technology will be set up at ITE College Central.

Costing S$1.3 million, the Centre will comprise of 4 Okura robot palletizers & 1 complete robot Okura palletizer system. It will serve as a platform to provide multi-disciplinary learning & technology development opportunities for ITE staff & students to address solutions for robot palletizing, sorting & packing finished products & engineering informatics.

The centre will also serve as a showcase, demonstration & testing base for Okura´s clients & ITE´s corporate visitors. It will be the centre for ITE staff & Okura´s engineers to carry out application, applied R&D & testing activities.

Okura´s experienced staff will provide training for the students to achieve full capability & know-how to support the industries in all aspects of the robot palletizer.
