The Okura Group of Companies will upgrade its current operations in Singapore and use the Republic as its strategic base for conducting, managing & expanding its global business. The new set-up will spearhead the transformation of Okura’s worldwide operations.
The activities of the Global Business Headquarters will include strategic business planning, marketing and brand building, business development, technical support, sourcing and procurement. It will be used as a platform for Okura to manage global projects for MNCs out of the region.
This move was made possible through the wealth of experience gained from 20 years of operating in Singapore as a regional office for Okura’s business in ASEAN, China and Oceania. Okura aims to enhance its competencies in Singapore and extend these capabilities, expertise & experience to other regions.

Okura Flexible Automation Systems Pte Ltd & the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 12 June 2009 at ITE College Central to develop real-work expertise & the next generation of skilled personnel in Robot Palletizer Systems. Under this MOU, the S$1.3 million ITE-Okura Centre of Technology will be set up at ITE College Central.
It will serve as a platform to provide multi-disciplinary learning & technology development opportunities for ITE staff & students to address solutions for robot palletizing, sorting & packing finished products & engineering informatics.
The centre will also serve as a showcase, demonstration & testing base for Okura´s clients & ITE´s corporate visitors. It will be the centre for ITE staff & Okura´s engineers to carry out application, applied R&D & testing activities.

Revamp of the OFAS website has been completed! A brand new theme on natural flow reflects the design philosophy of our products & engineering design. The theme also focuses on our key role as solution providers, the final piece of the jigsaw, to all of our valued customers.
Another key aspect of the revamp was in the navigation. Ease of navigation is vital for all websites, especially in those with a large number of pages. Difficult navigation can result in the visitor getting "lost" & reduces the effectiveness of the website.
Numerous links & a "Links" bar is present in all pages. Together with the "Links" bar is a search box for ease of access to information.
A Sitemap is also available at the bottom right of each page for all visitors to navigate the website easily!
